ELS-WORKSHEETS, dört kitaptan oluşan bir seridir. Bu dört kitap öğrenciyi başlangıç Düzeyi'nden alıp Orta Düzey'e taşımaktadır. ELS-WORKSHEETS, dört yıllık lise sisteminde hazırlık sınıflarının kaldırılması dikkate alınarak, yeni sistemin müfredatına göre revize edilmiş ve sayfa sayısı artırılmıştır. Yapılan revizyonlarla ELS-WORKSHEETS, düz liselerin yanı sıra, Anadolu liselerinde, özel okullarda ve üniversite ve yüksekokulların hazırlık sınıflarında izlenmeye uygun hale getirilmiştir. Yayının hazırlanmasında ve revizyonunda, M.E.B'nın bu okullar için öngördüğü müfredat programı ve okullarda yaygın olarak izlenen kitapların içerikleri temel alınmıştır. Grammar-Reading-Vocabulary alanlarında çok çeşitli ve bol alıştırma verilerek öğrencilerin edindikleri bilgileri pekiştirmeleri, İngilizce öğrenirken karşılaştıkları güçlüklerin daha kolay üstesinden gelmeleri amaçlanmıştır. Dil öğreniminde görselliğin önemi dikkate alınarak kitaplardaki egzersiz ve aktiviteler, kuşe kağıda basılmış renkli, ilgi çekici ve öğretici resimlerle desteklenmiştir. ELS-WORKSHEETS'i toplu olarak sınıfıyla birlikte izleyecek öğretmen arkadaşlarımız için, içinde çeşitli aktivitelerin, "worksheet"lerin, "quiz"lerin ve testlerin yer aldığı "Teacher's File" hazırlanmıştır. ELS-WORKSHEETS'in okullarda daha rahat izlenebilmesi için, Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu Başkanlığı'nın 13.11.1998 tarih, 13577 sayılı kararı ile onay alınmıştır. ELS-WORKSHEETS Sophomore, ELS-WORKSHEETS serisinin ikinci kitabıdır. Kitabın sonunda, kitaptaki konularla ve egzersizlerle bütünleştirilmiş, kuşe kağıda renkli olarak basılmış resimler yer almaktadır.
